That just pisses me off...

It Really Ain't Me!

While checking my email this morning, I found a number of bounces from different organizations. Apparently, spammers are forging the “from” address and using random “csquared.org” addresses.

I hate spammers as much as the next person—please be aware that it’s really not me sending these damnable things.

Phishers Suck

I was recently IM'd from a buddy of mine via Yahoo! Instant Messenger. He signed in, sent me a link to a GeoCities page, and immediately signed off. As our conversations usually center around beer drinking and work, I was immediately suspicious. After navigating to the link, I was prompted to enter my Yahoo! username and password. Upon closer inspection, the form would email the username and password to [havinfunfun@gmail.com|mailto:havinfunfun@gmail.com]. Further poking around found that other geocities pages with similar urls had the same type of attack. I emailed Yahoo!, The Google Team, and the hosted script provider and provied them details about this dickhead's attack. So, here's a bone to all you spammers out there: Feel free to spam the shit out of [havinfunfun@gmail.com|mailto:havinfunfun@gmail.com].

Clip Art

The gratuitous use of clip art just pisses me off.

It doesn't add value, dilutes the message you're attempting deliver, and it's (quite frankly) inane.

There's a time and a place for a clip-art bunny. Say, orientation for your pre-school program.

I'm sure there's a 12-step program if you have a problem -- think of this as an anonymous intervention.

B3ta v. David Sullivan

I've been lurking over at b3ta for some time now.

...and, for the last five minutes I've been attempting to describe it. Wikipedia, as always, does an excellent job.

Anywho, David Sullivan is a rather unsavory chap (think Larry Flynt without scruples) who reprinted a number of b3tan's pics without permission or credit. That just pissed me off.

So, in hopefully true b3ta form, I present my crap attempts to show how trully reprehensible Sullivan is.

I'll be able to post them to b3ta on Tuesday. Woo, yay!
